Four Years Later!
Well, it certainly has been a very tumultuous four years since the last presidential election here in the states. The senator from Illinois who was elected to our highest office in the land the Presidency of the United States under a campaign slogan of "YES WE CAN" and something to the tune of "Change You Can Rely On" or... something ... something" will be regarded by historians as the absolute worst to hold office. So Jimmy Carter will have to move off the mountain as Barack H. Obama will take over first place.
What an ostentatious accolade befitting of all that was accomplished by his administration and all the appointments and Czar positions placed this last four years and what has now become a national debt that will be on the shoulders of generations. So befitting of this "GREEN and RENEWABLE" Presidency of having selective bailouts by an administration to garner support and favor of unions and financial institutions that have bled the auto and mortgage sectors of this country to the brink of financial ruin. I could go on adnauseam, but what would be the point? For all of the people of this great land have been living the nightmare for the last four years without any pause and are fed up and disgusted. The blatant disregard for the welfare of this country and the constitutional rights of its citizens due inpart to the socialist tack that has been so evident by this administration will not soon be forgotten.
Let us all show support for all the good work (the very many bailouts, the relentless printing of paper with nothing backing it up, the transportation and sale of weapons to drug cartels by Federal Agents, the failure to conduct a strong foreign policy to prevent nuclear proliferation, the housing market at the lowest levels due to toxic financing by Government backed programs by Freddie & Fannie with non existent oversight, so called "SHOVEL READY PROJECTS" that one is a laugher with unemployment levels maintaining high percentages countrywide) just to name a few that has been accomplished by this great team. Yet to date, there has been no accountability for anything. Not one head has rolled to date within any of these departments that have given so much back to the American people for their vote four years ago. PLEASE VOTE THIS NOVEMBER AND REMEMBER ALL THAT "CHANGE" THAT WAS PROMISED WHEN YOU ENTER THE VOTING BOOTH

JUST ANOTHER PITIFUL DISPLAY OF TOTAL INCOMPETENCE ON THE PART OF THIS REGIME WHICH HOPEFULLY WILL BE TERMINATED COME THIS ELECTION IN NOVEMBER!

Re: Four Years Later!
Jamster123,
The assumptions and controversial comments I was referring to were in the article of the link I posted. Not in respect to your blog.
I follow American politics very closely as it has a significant impact on how we all should invest as well as it directly influences Canada's GDP.
One word concerning Obama: SOLYNDRA
No wait...Another few words: HE REJECTED THE KEYSTONE XL PIPELINE AS GAS PRICES IN HIS COUNTRY SKYROCKETED.
Got to love election years. Leaders will do anything to get the popular vote.
With that stated, the Republicans aren't bringing their best leaders to the campaign this election. It will be a tough election for them to win, but of the 4 remaining candidates, Romney has the only chance of winning.
Should be an interesting year.
Re: Four Years Later!
Good morning Aaron. It is my pleasure to present a rebuttal to your reply of my blog. Before I begin, the web-site americanthinker you posted on your reply happens to be spot on regarding what this President is all about!
There is absolutely nothing on my blog that is controversial nor contain any assumptions as to the tack of this country under his stewardship as President. The facts are glaringly eveident that the tenure of President Obama has been one of the lowest in recent American history as well as a dismal failure in the eyes of the global community. He and his close confidants that he brought into his cabinet have stumbled and blundered their way these past three and one half years.
Aaron, do yourself a favor and read my blogs just prior to the 2008 US elections and shortly after, I believe in March of 2009. and come back and restate your position as to what I have blogged in the past that has indeed become part of the historical political landscape of the United States.
Please do not hesitate to post if your thoughts differ from mine as to these past four years. But I have yet to be proven wrong as to the course that was set back during the elections of four years ago to date. Your resources are far more superior to that of a member of Pinnacle Digest so have at at.
Re: Four Years Later!
No one can sum it up better than Trump
Let me get this straight . . .
We're going to be "gifted" with a health care
plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't,
Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people,
without adding a single new doctor,
but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it,
passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a Dumbo President who smokes,
with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, f
or which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect,
by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare,
all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!!
'What the hell could possibly go wrong?

In case you haven't read this article on Obama, it's worth a read. While some of it is controversial and I don't agree with it as it appears to be assumptive, much of it is true.

From an economic standpoint, Obama has to go if America wants a chance to get back on track within the next 5 years.

Re: Four Years Later!
I believe that this was a stellar post by jamster and southpen try turning off CNN-NBC-Dade County Local News and watch BBC,CBC,CTV, FOX and learn the facts.
Let me add my thoughts into the mix on Pres. Obama. 1st he has been an embarrassment on your domestic issues especially Obama in light of broken Medicare and Medicaid Programs rife with fraud and bureacrac.
Also he has been an embarassment to your western allies on the international stage. His "feet" kissing and apologies to the "terrorist supporting Arab world " let alone an arrogant France, is a disgrace.
IMHO Israel should not have to take the lead over dealing decisively with Iran's nuclear program. Obama shouldn't be threatening Israel behind the scenes while he dilly dallies around on his inept ineffectual attempts to delay the inevitalbe.
If Iran gets nukes they will use them and the longer we wait more lives will be ruined because of excuses over White House Decisions such as to mistakenly go into Iraq and Afghanistan with out multiple transition and exit stategies in place beforehand or near the middle of the term of operations .
PS I'm not Jewish and totally support intravention and decisive dealing with their nuclear facilities. "KABOOM"
Pinnacle also seems to have mistakenly taken your aggressive comments, less than diplomnatic at that , as having been written by Jamster which as we can see is far from the case. Go re-read some Political Science material and try a subscription to the ECONOMIST .

"I don't know how you get that ,out of what I said, but neverless, I need no protection from anybody like you for different reasons than your little mind could comprehend. I think for a military person ,you have a pretty disrespectful view for the office of President. southpen out!"
Your above retort to my last post is lame at best. Proof read your material prior to posting your verbose blather. And I vehemently take exception to your statement on my military allegiance to political office. For politicians come and go but there is only ONE CORPS "Semper Fidelis".
As the Commander & Chief had stated recently "CORPSE". How utterly degrading to us all.
You may now talk to the hand in the future!

Re: Four Years Later!
Oh!, one other thing there southpen. If I were you and thank heaven I'm not, I would drop to my knees and be very thankful for the vigilance of the dedicated forces that from 09/11/2001 to date have kept our shores safe. In the last ten years there have been at least FOURTEEN terroist attempts thwarted by protective measures that were implemented by the Bush Administration policy enactments into law in NEW York City alone.
Just think how many will never be mentioned let alone made public in every major metropolitan city in this country. Sleep well tonight because someone has got your back and you do not even know it. Stew on that for awhile.
Re: Four Years Later!
Your naivete regarding the political assessment of the U S these past twenty years especially from where you state you reside in Florida is something to behold. Enough said. Thank-You for your input regardless of its obvious slant.
Re: Four Years Later!
Glass Steagall of 1933 was partially repealled in November 99,weeks before the Texan took office. I would agree that political maneuvering by Clinton ,for Clinton , was probably a good reason for it's pass. It gave damaging powers to banks to use in the economy ,completely for individual gains. .The housing bubble would never of being so bad if not for the manipulation of Wall St.capitol running freely with an Administration that was RIGID and really not able to understand the complexities of the situation. So they bought time, figured they would lose the election anyway and the RP would play blame game on the next bunch of Democrats All establishment cronies.,unable to see a new way..Besides that,.Bush was a war time President.LOL The economy would run itself ,which works fine, for a while with keynesian policies but when the World changes and your asleep at the wheel of the Titanic ,all hell broke loose..It all came to a final destructive conclusion 8 years later as Obama was seeking the White House. Didn't really hear anything from the establishment RIGHT WING, to do differently than BUSH did or Obama continued. Get your facts straight!
Re: Four Years Later!
Your pagentry statement is absurd to state it mildly! The distortion is clearly in your post and comments. As a citizen, I for one have nothing to hide from anyone and welcomed anything that the Bush Administration did to secure my well being and protect our nation from further terroist assaults on American soil as well as the planning and staging of same abroad..
For your information the housing BUBBLE was the UNdoing of the Clinton administration with a political crony by the name of Andrew Cuomo (Now GOVERNOR in his daddy's footsteps)) who was appointed the HUD Secretary to make way and clear the path for the First lady carpetbagger to ascend to the US SENATE seat in New York that was vacated by the retirement of Daniel P. Moynihan. He than acted as a puppet of the Clintons to ease the requirements in acquiring home financing with Freddie Mac and Fannie May with the aid of Barney Frank oversight among others to force lending institutions to insure TOXIC mortgages. It is all part of the history of tainted politics..
And please do not forget the fact that both branches of the U S Government were controlled by one party for the first two years of the present administration and absolutely nothing was accomplished but a spiraling debt load on the people with good ole "smoke & mirrors" and "end arounds" Get real and follow your nose!
I am a Vietnam Veteran and my son is presently in the Army and has made it his career choice. He served in Iraq and his family could not be prouder of his service to his country.
Oh as far as the Glass-Steagall Act see below:
The Glass-Steagall Act was enacted during the Great Depression. It protected bank depositors from the additional risks associated with security transactions. The act was dismantled in 1999. Consequently, the distinction between commercial banks and brokerage firms has blurred; many banks own brokerage firms and provide investment services.
Re: Four Years Later!
It really wouldn't of mattered, who was elected President in 2008,the economic policies of the U.S. were set up to implode regardless. The Keynesian system is controlled by the real power in this country ,which infact does begin in Washington, but goes well beyond. Power that is too diverse, to blame any single entity, including the President. All this pageantry ,which people like you,use to convince the others in the public about, just makes matters worse. Comments where half truths, are used to somehow coerce people .Why don't you look at your comments and realize how distorted they are ? I haven't agreed with some financial measures that our government has taken ,but at least I have an idea where the bad seed was planted or by who.A careful examination of Obama's first year shows a President remarkably resilient to pressure that had been building for 30 years. He tried to change a couple key things in our society ,a long standing healthcare insurance problem and thanks to people like you ,no doubt,it failed. Can't wait to hear the great fix on that one. I've never experienced hearing so many bad idea's from a half dozen men and a woman that could of , at that juncture, gone on to take Obama's place. (Ron Paul the only exception) Look what your doing to him. At least get some complete facts in line . "blatant disregard for the welfare of this country" Really! What was repeal of Glass Steagall about ? (which caused the housing boom and BUST) . Never in our countries history has the constitution been so misused, as when Bush and company ,knowingly, falsely went to War against Iraq. Only a complete reorganization of the American gov't could truly change this country.Obama and company ,admittadly didn't know that,I think they do now. Establishmentarians like yourself will try and elect another President that will give the people what they want ,until they change their minds in , (a year )
