Death of a Pres. to move me up. The President of a public company is no big deal considering all the scum bags that I have met on the VSE and TSX who are company presidents. As a lawyer we are always hiring experts. We look for the smartest and the best. It was a no brainer for the board that I was on to get the best man for the job. We did that. As a result we were successful. Money is more important than postion.

and when the market does get better you can bet the correction is going to be fast and furious. Overnight millionaires will be everywhere.

Your right about the opportunities out there TT. Question is: At what point do we start buying them up?
No one knows exactly where the price f gold is going or oil for that matter. No one really has a clue

I can't remember at any time in recent history have soooo many opportunities present themselves. It is like the perfect storm - gold fluctuating wildly, sabre rattling in Europe, bombs going off in the middle east. Bad guys to the left of us and wicked people to the right. Market uncertainty and weak sisters whining on every corner.
Now is precisely the time you focus in on what's important and shop for bargains. I am keeping an eye on Uranium, coal and gold. Although some people like silver....I dunno, still think of that as 'weenie investing' ... poor man's gold, so to speak.
Right now, my favorites are coal and gold.

Okay, so it took the death of a prez to move you up from a board member to the big chair. I can relate...when the bad guys popped a local Vancouver desperado, I move up the food chain of a lottery re-selling company...and lo and behold, there was little old me....the prez of a multinational company. Like you, I tread water until we could import a top Euro for the job.
As to ME participating in the PP - sorry, dude...not this time. I have a very decent position....and if as, or when the deal bears fruit - I'll be Phat City.

I used to love drinking Tequila. Brings back a story of when I used to work as camera man for 'Contrast' ... the first black newspaper in Toronto. I was supposed to go with the reporter to meet Jesse Jackson, but was so wasted on T that I passed out face first on my shag carpet (yes, the story goes back to the time of shag carpets)....I woke up and looked in the mirror and saw all these squiggly indents and thought I had become deformed. Did that teach me a lesson? Yea, fifteen years later I quit drinking.

Good Morning. I really don't have anything to say except that I wanted to change the topic heading. I was getting tired of the old one. CHROME MOUNTAIN - RHODIUM - PLATINUM seemed more suitable to the discussion. Most people dread Mondays but I can hardly wait until tomorrow.
