Mariner's Choice Tackles Greenhouse Gas Emissions With EPA Registered Products Wednesday July 30, 9:47 am ET

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., July 30, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Mariner's Choice International, Inc. (Other OTC:MCII.PK - News) tackles the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions with its Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) registered MC-Marine fuel catalysts.

North Sea SOx Emission Control Area (SECA) was put in effect on November 22, 2007, joining the Baltic Sea, which came under SECA regulations in May, 2006. In a SECA, the sulfur content of fuel oil used on board ships must not exceed 1.50% m/m. In June of this year, a meeting was held in Oslo to progress towards developing a mandatory regime for further consideration by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and its Marine Environmental Protection Committee (MEPC) to control GHG emissions from international shipping. MEPC is scheduled to meet in October, 2008.

In addition to reducing emissions, the use of MC-Marine fuel catalysts can reduce operating cost per hour by 20%-30%, and realize increased profitability for cruise lines, shipping companies, work and crew boats. National and international interests have been received, and the products are currently being used and tested in various markets.

MC-Marine Diesel Purity (EPA registered) or Pura Line Bunker, formulated specifically to overcome the deficiencies associated with low sulfur content and numerous other conditions affecting the fuel's stability and quality. MC-Marine catalysts are ``combustible'', not ``flammable'', allowing for safe shipping and storing, further increasing satisfaction while decreasing handling and storage costs.

The science behind this proprietary technology positions the MC-Marine fuel catalysts as a forerunner in the marine sector. The MC-Marine Diesel Purity is one of three MC-Marine fuel products registered with the EPA, under 40 CFR 79.23. To the best of the management's knowledge, there are no other marine fuel catalysts registered with the EPA to date, other than those produced by Mariner's Choice.
