NORILSK OPEN TO OFFERS FOR US ASSET (Stillwater) 22 October 2008
The Stillwater could still be economical at the current PGM prices, with the PT, Rh and Cu credits, if the miners were able to mine 20 tpd (which is typical mining productivity) vs. the 2 tpd (UNION) they get now.
You can't own the richest Pd and Pt deposit in the world and not make money because of the deposit... it's just BAD management....
BAD managament = Opportunity.

OK Kids, here we go...
1. BTP and Kria... the deal still needs to be signed, sealed, and delivered (at the right price)
Don't forget, there's a potential material changing event in lab... Drill RESULTS
Mike DID say.... BTP's properties offer interesting potential for future RESOURSE definition, however it is difficult to finance exploration activities in this environment...
(aka we couldnt do it at $0.02 with 180,000 shares out... so we took over (got taken out?) by a private company (run by BTP's board) and a now with a board strong enough to make a run at the Stillwater Mine... while acquiring the amazing PGM discovery next door)
Think about it... how much of a premium did Kria pay for BTP? For what? and WHY?????
What assets are within BTP...? A S.African property you haven't heard anything about and the JV with PEM...
hhmmmmmmmm....
Next step is to see who makes a run a the Stillwater.

That is not good news for any mining company, especially a Palladium. But I have to ask, what about Chrome?

Okay - so let me get this right. BTP has been halted, but no one knows why. If a deal goes down with Norilsk how do we know PEM's project will be included. BTP could be in regards to many things.. I like reading between the lines as well. We shall see how thin these lines are.. cheerio

Norilsk Nickel is open to receiving offers to buy its only North American asset

palladium prices are at a 5 year low. Not good for CM. Norht American platinum shut down there mine in Lavaque.

WHo knows wind but that doesn't change the fact that money is needed to move forward. I'm thinking loan financing is the best option for companies these days.

Good Morning. I really don't have anything to say except that I wanted to change the topic heading. I was getting tired of the old one. CHROME MOUNTAIN - RHODIUM - PLATINUM seemed more suitable to the discussion. Most people dread Mondays but I can hardly wait until tomorrow.
