Big Project, Big Capital Requirements, Big Pain During Credit Crunch = Big Investment Opportunity!
Re: Big Project, Big Capital Requirements
Let me be the last to ask why we are still talking about the financing? I love this play and have forgotten about it, but someone has really fallen asleep on this one. There is usually 50 times more going on behind the scenes than we know about, let's just hope that is the case.
Re: Big Project, Big Capital Requirements
Those are the least of my worries, my worry is the price of Moly, it's temporarily at $11.00 a lb. Not good. But, China and India are still urbanizing and will soon be buying again and consequently raising the price of Moly with the demand. As for Environment, what issue is there? Thompson Creek is kilometers away and are at full tilt mining there. Cumo does not have a significant settlement anywhere close to it. The funding is here. It's Msq that is hesitating on closing it.
Re: Big Project, Big Capital Requirements, Big Pain During Credi
I am worried. But do not be confused with that worry, being in any shape or form doubt in regards to CUMO. CUMO is real and CUMO is one of the most valuable deposits in the world. period. That said, I am worried there are many more serious obstacles involved than I had originally. Environment / Funding being the two main issues.
My gut still says this stock will have its day. Just might be alot longer than I had anticipated.
Re: Big Project, Big Capital Requirements, Big Pain During Credi
Wow, Hunter, you sound worried. How much worse can it get? Back up the truck and load up. China and India will continue to urbanize, they'll wait for the markets to reshape themselves and then back to commodities. Cumo is real, and it will attract attention. Nobody know when, but it will. When insiders sell then I'm gone. But for a couple thousand shares sold by Mr. Jeffries every 2 months is not time to panic.
Re: Big Project, Big Capital Requirements, Big Pain During Credi
This stock has become much more fragile and dangerous than I had ever imagined. It is no wonder the financing has yet to close in this market. These great deposits are somehow becoming liabilities to companies. CUMO is still the largest most cost efficient molybdenum deposit in the world. If it isn't revalued upwards at some point, something went more wrong than any of us could have ever foreseen. hunter
Re: Big Project, Big Capital Requirements, Big Pain During Credi
Look what happened today. No one sold stock one or two people bought and it upticked. For once there was no pressure. When the selling stops this company will rise.
Re: Big Project, Big Capital Requirements, Big Pain During Credi
What's the word on the financing? It's been a while since it was first announced. I didn't expect it to take very long to fill at 35 cents. What a steal.
Re: Big Project, Big Capital Requirements, Big Pain During Credi
It's all because of the price of Moly being at 11 dollars and the markets are full of panic stricken investors.
Re: Big Project, Big Capital Requirements, Big Pain During Credi
At this point we need a major or a partner of some sorts. I don't see who it could be, all the majors are down. Anyone see TCM - trading at 3 and a half???? This is one of the largest producers in the world and we were at 2 bucks not long ago.
We need a savior.
Re: Big Project, Big Capital Requirements, Big Pain During Credi
It is a give away, but I thought that at a dollar and again at 50 cents..

Big Project, Big Capital Requirements, Big Pain During Credit Crunch = Big Investment Opportunity!
By VultureAlert.com
Mosquito Gold (TSXV: MSQ) has really been feeling some pain during the economic crisis as a result of the freeze of the credit markets. The company's CUMO project is one of the largest known Moly deposits in the world and will also require huge amounts of capital to see it ever enter production. Recently, the stock has bounced back from it's low of $0.31 in mid-October despite the confirmed rumours of a financing. Seeing a stock increase after a financing has been announced is rare in these market conditions. So why is this? Well, possibly it could be that some sanity is coming back to the junior miners and that we're nearing the end of the deleveraging that the sector has gone through.
Mosquito is an excellent example of why someone invests in a junior explorer, to be involved in the advancement of a world-class project that will eventually be snapped up by a producer. The company has been making great progress but still faces scoping, prefease and feasibility studies before a production decision can ever be made so dilution could be a bit of an issue. Also, the price of moly has been on a free-fall the last few weeks and if it falls below $10/lb this stock could get a whole lot cheaper. That said, I wouldn't be surprised to see this project fast-tracked if initial economics looks good and skip directly to feasibility. From preliminary estimates, the company has estimated cost per pound of moly to be under $5, amongst the lowest of any CURRENT moly producer. These are simply early internal estimates so those can't be counted upon. Yet, another near-term exit strategy over the next 6 to 12 months is for the project to be snapped up or a strategic investor to provide capital for CUMO.
Despite, the challenges of the market, this is certainly a perfect example of a stock investors should nibble and acquire around these levels (below proposed financing price) and be confident in the management and the asset...they are both great! The next possible catalysts will be announcement of the financing closing and hopefully a screamer of a scoping study!
