The stock price has really improved since the new year begun. I think it has to do with a market rebound and investors realizing the importance of investing in companies with cash on hand. BNN had a mining analysts from Haywood on today and his main point was that now is the time to buy junior miners but only if they have the cash. The first thing to look at is their balance sheets.

A Bob Moriarty reports said there were 96 juniors with more cash than market capitalization. You can bet they will be the first bought in the new year.

Most can be attributed to tax-loss selling. The Financial Post both on Friday and Saturday last week highlighted that investors were seeking juniors that are cash-rich. I believe some buying came in based on this.
