Except from the President's Letter

Never mind their (yawn) blathering on about Mexico....here is the real beef in what the company is all about: MONTANA ... and the possibility of the largest Rh discovery in the continental USA. Also, Chromites - huge win for these guys if all comes true:

Dear Fellow Shareholder:

In January 2008 I provided you with a list of accomplishments and highlights for Premium’s first full year of operation. I am now providing a six month update of those accomplishments (see our website at www.premiumexploration.com for the previous Presidents’ Message). I am using a slightly different format for this update based on the three geological areas we are currently exploring; Montana, Idaho and Mexico.

MONTANA

1. Drill results from 2007 continued to advance the world class exploration target on the Platinum Group Metals Chrome Mountain JV project.

2. Permitting has been obtained for 45 more drill sites.

3. The Chromitite component on the property was looked at with very favourable results. There are historic grades up to 47.1% Chromitite from the Chrome Mountain property.

4. The 2008, 10,000ft drill program has been announced and will start when the snow melt allows access, target date is the second week of July 2008.

5. The Rhodium component of the PGM bearing rock has been re-assayed due to a conflict in results between labs and is set to be favourably re-released soon.

6. Identified previously unknown mineralization suggesting South African style PGM mineralization.

With Rhodium tradng at $9,860 per ounce, wouldn't it be something if PEM had the goods!  We will get that answer sooner than later?

"....higher up the food chain??"

Yes, think multi-national interest. One particular company that would make Stillwater look like a hot-dog stand on the beach. Rh is HUGE NEWS...and if you find any in a friendly country, the line-up would be deep.

higher up the food chain?? I was under the impression they were but the only producer of platinum and palladium in the US? am I wrong?? cheerio and thank you my good man,

Re: Strategic metals: technologies to reduce U.S. import vulnera

Helps? It's brilliant work. Thank you.

Looks to me that PEM's future success will depend a lot on MONTANA.

CM 43-101?

One of my previous posts. This is just an idea from last years drilling if we wanted to start playing with numbers. This years program will either start confirming this or adjusting it anyway.. depending on what comes out the these holes.

Re: Rising Demand Lifts Ferrochrome Prices - aka chromite RATE

With the info in the news release , one could play a bit.... the drill pattern mentioned was 1000M x 400M x 150M = 60,000,000 m3

Using a specific gravity (S.G.) of 2.75, meaning we figure each cubic meter of material yields 2.75 metric tonnes...for a chormite ore it would be higher (around 3.8-4.2).

Multiple the cubic meters by the S.G. of 2.75 for a figure in metric tonnes.

60,000,000 x 2.75 = 165,000,000 tonnes.

They used a figure of an average of 0.66 g/t pgms+au and had not included Rh, Cu, Ni... being optimistic, you could round it up to1 g/t average with all metals content included.

so...165,000,000 tonnes x 1 g/t = 165,000,000 grams PGM's

165,000,000 divided by 31.2 gms to an ounce = 5,288,000 ounces of contained PGM's.

50/50 JV partnership...divide again by 2 = 2,644,230 oz is PEM's shares.

2,644,230 oz with an 80% recovery = 2,115,384 oz recoverable PGM's ...lets be (mean), cut that in half again and only give PEM credit for 50% of thier contained PGM's so then you have 1.057,692 OZ's contained pgms....

Strategic metals: technologies to reduce U.S. import vulnerabili

The Gish Mine (Chromite Ore) - Click on the link to find out more:

(http://books.google.ca/books?id=-u5oBJBOZsEC&pg=PA151&lpg=PA152&ots=Dwzt...) Start at heading Stillwater Complex... ABove note the table... shows resources on the Gish and Mouat / Benbow

You will see in the table in the link that the Mouat / Bendow is larger... but the is only because the GISH is less explored and is underdeveloped.... like CHROME MOUNTAIN because the claims are adjacent (aka they touch).

In the Ultramafic Series, beneath the Lower Banded Series which hosts the Stillwater Mine, include two major chromitite seams, “G” and “H”, which contain four massive chromite deposits of possible commercial importance (they forget to mention the GISH here). Two of these deposits, Mountain View and Benbow, are sites of historic mines responsible for a significant portion of the United States’ chrome supply during World War I and II and the Korean War. These two deposits plus two other drill-defined deposits, Benbow East and Nye Basin, contain substantial amounts of chromite consistently similar in grade and thickness to that historically produced.

Extensive studies, including drilling and underground exploration, done by Chrome Corporation of America and others in the decades since the Korean War demonstrate in-place historical resources of 14 million tons of 23% Cr2O3 at the Mountain View mine, 21 million tons of 22% Cr2O3 at the Benbow mine, 9 million tons of 20% Cr2O3 in the Benbow East deposit, and 6 million tons of 22% Cr2O3 in the Nye Basin deposit. In 1986–87, Chrome Corporation of America completed an exhaustive four-volume feasibility study of the Mountain View deposit as a prelude to opening a 132,000 ton/yr high-carbon ferrochrome operation, but the project was subsequently abandoned due to lack of funding.

Hope this helps and let me know if youi have anymore questions.

Re: Except from the President's Letter

Stillwater? Nope. I'm thinking much, much, much higher up the food chain.

As to platinum and palladium - important metals, to be sure. Also crucial for the e-car market and for catalytic converters in gas powered vehicles. BUT...I'm hoping for a source of Rhodium, as there are Japanese researchers who have an Rh battery that allows an e-car to travel 3,000 miles X 60 mph. Only trouble is that it (battery) costs more than a small condo.

But the researchers are finding ways to swap out much of the Rh in exchange for platinum. As to how much swapping is necessary to retain a long-haul battery is still unknown.

So I guess we could argue about Rh over other PGM's all the way to the bank.

Re: Except from the President's Letter

You must be reffering to Stillwater - makes alot of sense for them to snatch them up and expand.. especially with the shortage of platinum and palladium in the market today.

Re: Except from the President's Letter

"...is a 43-101 calculation expect after summer at Chrome Mtn??"

I had to come back to this one....thanks in part to a suggestion that IF the story is true that one world class major has requested observer status during the Montana drill program - there might be a deal cut without a teck document.

I don't know much else, but perhaps calling in to PEM and sifting through the tone of the answers you receive, you might gain an insight. I doubt if you'll be able to trick Christine into blurting out this kind of info - but who knows?

Re: Except from the President's Letter

I hope we can get a 43-101 by the time this program is over, - how many months can the drilling go on?? July to September or longer.?

Re: Except from the President's Letter

No.

Define 'good' and 'bad'. It's all perspective. I care for my gang of investors, so pov is all important. But the answer to your first question is an empathic no.
