It is sometimes surprising to see how quietly junior mining stocks can creep higher. Dios is up more than 80% from its low of $0.06 hit in late 2016.

Dios Exploration Hits Mineralized Zones

Dios Exploration’s latest press release, titled Several tens of meter mineralized zones in DIOS’ first holes of winter drilling program on Heberto Gold.

On March 22, Dios Exploration reported its first three holes of drilling on its wholly-owned Heberto gold project.

The company was quick to note that it had intersected several tens of meters of mineralized zones, more at depth than two previous 2015 and 2016 drilling campaigns. Below is a short excerpt from the press release:

“Mineralized zones show strong hydrothermal alteration in sheared rocks with biotite, silica and microcline and fine pyrite and magnetite. Gold content is directly related to these minerals. Several hundreds of core samples were sent for gold assaying this week. Hole 17 was even deepened for 200 m and the Heberto gold zone was again hit at depth.

The Heberto Gold discovery had yielded 4.8 grams gold per tonne over 8.65 meters last year in 2.13 g/t Au /22.90 m; 2 g/t Au over 22 m some 75 m deeper and 1.8 g/t Au /18.45 m some 75-100 m even deeper and 3.65 g/t Au/13 m some 50 m to the south in 1.15 g/t Au/64 m.”

In late-February we published a report titled Canada’s Shockingly Massive Gold Mines. Little junior mining companies, operating in this region of Canada, such as Dios Exploration remind us of the fight in this sector. Below is an excerpt from our report:

“In Canada, mining is for our economy what hockey is for our culture. There are few economic activities more Canadian than the process of exploring for and extracting natural resources.

Canadians are known around the world for their ability to find, fund and build mines. Canada’s gold mines hold a special amount of pride for citizens of this country.

We’re known in the natural resource industry as the entrepreneurial wildcatters who can be relied upon to make discoveries beneath the earth’s surface. We have the stomach for the risk involved in mineral exploration, and it’s an occupation of national pride.”

March Stock Challenge Update

As March’s Stock Challenge draws to a close, member ‘screefer’ is not relinquishing his lead. The long-time member had a stunning 194.53% return at the close of trading Tuesday. With only three days left in March, chances anyone can catch him or his selections will collapse are all but gone.
