Mitt Romney Selects Paul Ryan as His Running Mate

Earlier today Mitt Romney announced the selection of Paul Ryan as his Vice Presidential running mate. With Romney slipping in the polls of late, this may give him a bounce back heading into the Republican National Convention scheduled for later this month. Romney stated that Paul Ryan has “become an intellectual leader of the Republican party”. With Ryan’s aggressive spending cuts outlined in ‘The Ryan Budget’ his selection as VP could prove controversial. It is going to be a heated election campaign heading into the final two months.
