Republicans Need to Appeal to More than White Male Voters if they Want to Win

Niall Ferguson talks to Bloomberg about the dangers of the fiscal cliff (which no matter who is elected, it will be the most pressing issue) and what the likelihood of an Obama re-election is. Ferguson, who has been a critic of the Obama administration, is shocked to see the incumbent leading in the polls given the dire state of the American economy. However, Ferguson explains that the Republicans have a demographic and ethnic challenge in this election. Without strong support from either hispanic or women voters, it could be impossible for the Republicans to win.
