Bravada Gold (BVA:TSXV) soared 32.65% Thursday to capture the Daily Stock Challenge Breakout award.

TSX Venture hits new 52-week high

Liquidity and price appreciation has come back to the TSX Venture in the summer of 2016. This week, the last in July, which is historically one of the quietest times of the year for the exchange, has seen it touch new 52-week highs.

The TSX Venture closed at its highest level in over 12 months Thursday – 784.95 after rising 0.41% on total volume of 78,724,837 shares traded.

It was just a few months ago the exchange was trading in the 500-600 level with half the total volume we are witnessing on a daily basis.

Bravada Gold’s stock rebounds strong

Bravada Gold reported on July 25th that it had received notice that a second-phase drilling program is underway at the Low-sulfidation gold property in the Walker Lane Gold trend in Nevada. The company reported:

“Kinross Gold U.S.A., Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Kinross Gold Corporation (“Kinross”), plans to drill 10 to 14 reverse-circulation (R.C.) holes for approximately 2,400 meters, followed by 1 to 3 core holes for an additional 450 meters.”

The most telling results which likely started Bravada on its steady rise higher are these facts:

“Earlier this year, Kinross completed 16 R.C. holes for a total of 4,439 meters at the Baxter property (see news release NR-07-16) and discovered a new zone of shallow, oxide gold mineralization at the Sinter target, one of several targets partially tested during the drilling program. Hole BAX16-13, for example, intersected 6.1m averaging 2.199 grams gold per ton (g/t gold) beginning at 32m depth within a thicker interval of 32.0m averaging 0.880g/t gold.”
