Rritual Superfoods Inc. (“Rritual” or the “Company”) is a startup that just completed its IPO and is anticipated to commence trading tomorrow.

Led by an accomplished management team and launched in 2020, Rritual is guided by a single purpose: to help people meet modern life demands with style and ease through functional mushrooms and adaptogens. Rritual sells nutritional products – not medicine. The Company operates in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) space and can sell its products in the United States.

Rritual’s U.S. Manufacturing Partner

Rritual’s Manufacturing Partner is a leading manufacturer of nutritional supplements, powders, and premixes operating in a FDA registered and GMP-certified facility. All dietary supplements manufactured in the facility are produced under the FFDCA code 21 CFR 111. The Manufacturing Partner is also certified for food safety by the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQF) and the facility is audited annually. Under the Development Agreement, the Manufacturing Partner has agreed to assist Rritual with preliminary formula development, initial samples, commercialization processes, and product labeling to meet FDA requirements.

The Manufacturing Partner is both a certified manufacturer of USDA Organics and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), with GMP certification a requirement for the sale of natural health products in Canada.

Selling Mushroom-Related Products in Canada

In Canada, mushroom products generally fall under two categories: (i) mushroom products that are considered food; and (ii) mushroom products that are considered Natural Health Products (NHPs). Rritual intends for its products to be defined as NHPs.

All NHPs are required to have an eight-digit Natural Product Number (NPN) which is a licence issued by Health Canada that must appear on each product’s label before they can be sold in Canada. The Company applied for NPNs for each of its initial three Rritual formulations in December 2020. Authorizations are required for Rritual to make health claims and while there is no guarantee that the Company will obtain these authorizations, it expects to have them in the near-term. The Company’s products cannot be sold in Canada without an NPN.

According to a December 2020 report by Data Bridge Market Research,

Rritual is focused on three main products initially: immune booster (chaga), brain booster (lion’s mane), and stress support (reishi).

Let’s begin with the Company’s CEO and Director, David Kerbel. David Kerbel has over 30 years of experience in retail, brokerage, and consumer packaged goods. Through his roughly 3 decades in business, David has established strong relationships with Walmart, Kroger, Costco, CVS, Walgreens, and Celsius Holdings.

David worked with Celsius Holdings from an early stage, serving as the company’s senior vice president of sales from 2008 to 2011. During his tenure, Celsius grew its retail sales from $400,000 to a multimillion-dollar figure, developed nationwide representation with CROSSMARK, Inc., and established distribution with industry giants such as 7-Eleven, Ralph’s, Costco, BJ’s Wholesale, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Rite Aid, Target, Duane Reade, and Stop and Shop. In total, Celsius’ new distribution stemming from Mr. Kerbel’s direct efforts led to $36 million in incremental sales in 2010.

We (Maximus Strategic Consulting Inc.) own shares and warrants of Rritual which were acquired by participating in the Company’s Initial Public Offering (click here for information about Rritual’s IPO). We intend to sell every share we own of Rritual for our own profit. All shares Maximus Strategic Consulting Inc. currently owns or may purchase in the future of Rritual will be sold without notice to PinnacleDigest.com’s subscribers or the general public. Maximus Strategic Consulting Inc. benefits from price and trading volume increases in Rritual, and is therefore extremely biased when it comes to the Company.
